Hi Pyralit, After a few recent weeks of fire danger warnings, today was my first chance to try the Pyralit and the Mallee Charcoal. The Pyralit was a little larger than I expected. It looks and feels like it's going to last a lifetime. As my little bunnings chimney rivets are about to fall through, I tried the Pyralit with the starters inside (I used to do them below). The wide base and narrow top make so much sense, and absolutely got the coal going much faster, due to the shape, but also the very generous air holes everywhere. I love the long slits vs small round holes. Loving that this is all Australian, I'll be keeping your product on my socials watch. Thanks!

Cont. The Mallee charcoal: i wasn't sure about this, and doubted it when adding to the shopping cart, but opening the bag and seeing the knobbly shape, light feel, and hollow sound it was clear that this was good gear. The coal was lighting up in the chimney and crackled like a fire in the bush, got going quickly and was a very clean burn. I'm so impressed. I have no negatives to say, all round great products, and I look forward to having this chimney a very long time. It's also flashy and will stand out at gatherings over the other BBQ bros types. This is one of those purchases you don't think you need until you have it. Cooking 3 nights a week on my barby now that I can light the coals, prep the meat, come back and throw the coals in the bbq. It does take about 5 minutes to heat the bbq and grill once deposited but it's still cuts my cooking time in half!

Wife review!! This is a much simpler, cleaner way to heat our bbq. I'll often have dinner cooked and ready before my hubby and the kids get home from footy. I haven't properly timed the difference but I would say i'm finished at the bbq in 30-40 minutes.
