Start a warranty claim and tell us what happened. Before you do, check our care guides — a little maintenance goes a long way.
What we cover
Pyralit warrants to the original purchaser that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship when used as intended.
The Pyralit stainless steel bucket is fully covered against defects in materials and workmanship.
The premium Australian hardwood handle is covered only against manufacturing defects.
Warranty periods
- Ignition Units, including Founder’s Edition. Lifetime warranty.
- Accessories and hardware, including handles and fasteners. 1 year.
- Apparel and merchandise. 1 year.
- Consumables, including charcoal and fire starters. Not covered by warranty. We will replace any item that arrives damaged or unusable.
What “lifetime” means
Lifetime refers to the useful life of the product under normal domestic use.
Stainless steel will not rust under normal cooking conditions. If it does, we will repair or replace it.
Hardwood handle coverage limits
The hardwood handle is not covered for natural movement, cosmetic change, cracking, warping, discolouration, heat damage, weather exposure, moisture, storage conditions, lack of maintenance including failure to periodically re oil, or general wear and tear.
Eligibility
You must purchase from pyralit.com.au or an authorised dealer.
You must use the product as intended and follow Pyralit care instructions.
No third party modifications or unauthorised repairs.
Proof of purchase is required.
What’s not covered
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic marks, scratches, or heat discolouration.
- Misuse, abuse, impact damage, or use beyond design intent.
- Damage caused by chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or extreme non cooking heat sources.
- Damage caused by excessive heat exposure, including incorrect burn timing.
- Damage caused by improper handling or failure to follow Pyralit usage and care guidelines.
- Third party modifications, repairs, or non Pyralit parts.
- Consumables once used, unless faulty on arrival.
If we can’t replace like-for-like
For limited runs or discontinued parts, we’ll replace with a same or nearest current model or component of equal value.
How to make a claim
- Complete the Warranty Claim Form
- Our team reviews your claim (usually within 1–2 business days)
- If approved, we’ll issue an RMA number and a prepaid return label (where applicable)
- Send the product back for inspection
- We repair or replace and ship it back to you
Shipping your return
- Pack securely to prevent damage in transit
- Include your RMA number and order details inside the box
- Do not write on the product or retail packaging
- Attach the return label and keep your drop-off receipt
If you use your own carrier, include the RMA inside the box and choose a tracked service. Additional return costs you choose to incur are non-refundable.
Australia only
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in Australia. For overseas purchases, contact the original retailer.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Warranty disclaimer
Apart from the rights set out above and your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law, all other warranties (express or implied) are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
