Pyralit started where most good BBQ ideas do - out the back, around the coals.
A few mates, a few beers, and the same old problem: waiting.
Charcoal cooks better, tastes better, and feels right. But getting it hot? That part sucked. Every ignition system on the market was slow, flimsy, or built for the wrong job. Stainless that rusted. Heat that warped. Designs made for beads, not real charcoal.
So we built our own.

A Note From The Founder
Pyralit started because I was tired of missing out on a good meal after a long day. I just wanted to fire up the coals, cook a proper steak and enjoy it with my family without the wait.
So we built something that made it easy to light up and get cooking. We make it here in Australia because it means something to us, built with pride and made to last.

Every Pyralit unit is made in-house, in our own workshop in Sydney, Australia - every cut, every bend, every finish. No offshore shortcuts. No mystery metal.
We use 316 marine-grade stainless steel and build every unit here in Australia to handle our conditions.
From the raw sheet to the final polish, it all happens under one roof. That’s rare these days - but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Built to Outlast
You can run it bare for the clean, solid build shown in most photos, or add the hardwood assist handle for easier carrying and an extra layer of heat protection when lifting fresh-lit coals.
Every unit carries a lifetime warranty and a patented design you won’t find anywhere else. Because if it doesn’t last, it doesn’t leave the workshop.
