Pyralit started where most good BBQ ideas do - out the back, around the coals.

A few mates, a few beers, and the same old problem: waiting.

Charcoal cooks better, tastes better, and feels right. But getting it hot? That part sucked. Every ignition system on the market was slow, flimsy, or built for the wrong job. Stainless that rusted. Heat that warped. Designs made for beads, not real charcoal.

So we built our own.

Coated Steel Body

Thin cheap steel with paint or plating coating. Over time, the coating burns off.

Coating eventually blister and flake under heat over time. Once it's gone, rust takes over.
