Every Pyralit ignition unit comes with a lifetime warranty. If it doesn’t hold up, we replace it. Simple as that.
Our Return Policy
If you’re not happy with your Pyralit gear, you can return it within 30 days of purchase. Products must be unused and in original condition. Change-of-mind returns incur a$27.95 return shipping fee. Faulty or damaged items are covered under our lifetime warranty and replaced at no cost.

I pondered as to how this might differ from other charcoal starters...Decided to take the plunge and was not disappointed...WOW...this thing is like a blow torch...charcoal was well alight in 5 mins and the heat coming from the unit was amazing...If you're giving this device thought...Don't...it's a game changer to your bbq experience and you won't look back..

It looks and feels like it's going to last a lifetime, a premium product that I won't have to replace. As my little cheapo chimney rivets are about to fall through, I thought I'd give this a try. I tried the Pyralit with the starters inside (I used to do them below the unit). The Pyralit was a little larger than I expected, and the wide base and narrow top make so much sense, and absolutely got the coal going much faster, due to the shape, but also the very generous air holes everywhere. I love the long slits vs small round holes. Huge airflow, the angles channel the heat to get all the coals noticeably faster than my previous cheap unit. I have no negatives to say, all round great products, and I look forward to having this chimney a very long time. It's also flashy and will stand out at gatherings over the other bbq bros types. Absolutely love that this is Australian design and made. Very Happy.

This is one of those purchases you don't think you need until you have it. Cooking 3 nights a week on my barby now that I can light the coals, prep the meat, come back and throw the coals in the bbq. It does take about 5 minutes to heat the bbq and grill once deposited but it's still cuts my cooking time in half!
It’s a extremely well crafted and really fires up! Ha pardon the pun! I’ve called it Ragnar!!
I used the OG Pyralit for my Binchotan. It's a very dense charcoal from Japan. It just didn't get going. It was very frustrating. I really want it to work, as it is such a beautiful thing and a pleasure to hold. Very well built. But perhaps not for Binchotan? I'll try again. Maybe with a new technique. Anyone else out there using the Pyralit for Binchotan?

Havent used it yet but quality looks great. Much heavier than expected.
Wow - this unit is built like a high precision engine. It looks amazing, the build quality is outstanding and my charcoal is ready to go within 10 minutes. My only regret is that I didn’t buy one six months ago.

Extremely well engineered, solid and rugged. Paired it with the Catch Plate, and later added the Pyralit adjustable torch buying an industrial gas Tradeflame cartridge to partner it, giving me controllable high heat. I already have about 10kg of Mallee Root Charcoal to work with.
